Between Europe and Asia, in the centre of a vast plateau where once primitive man hunted,

Here are underground cities, once havens for the hunted, and chambers hollowed in fairy chimneys decorated with primitive religious wall paintings, darkened by centuries of candlelight and defaced by invading hordes who once swept out of Asia.

Şato Cave Hotel is here in the tiny town of Göreme, where pigeons are still housed in lofts carved in the valley walls, where lemons fill the cellars, and where the harvest of grapes roll home in horse-drawn carts.

Location
Direct busses go from all major cities in Turkey to Cappadocia. Most busses stop at Goreme bus station from where it is a 2 minute walk up to Sato Cave Hotel. If you let us know in advance when you will be arriving we will be happy to come and meet you at the bus station. Some bus companies only stop at the nearby town of Nevsehir from where they provide free transport by midibus to Goreme bus station.

For the ones who prefer to take an internal flight, there are plenty number of flights from Istanbul to Kayseri, the nearest airport. From there you can try to arrange a shuttle or ask us for a pick up.

If you would like to walk from Goreme bus station to our hotel, follow the road to the main mosque in the city center, on the way you see local tea houses on your right hand side, head up the road through them and will see our place in 50 meters.
